Spectrum Center’s recent transformation is earning recognition on the national stage. The home of the Charlotte Hornets has been named a finalist for the Sports Business Journal’s 2026 Sports Facility of the Year award - one of the sports and entertainment industry’s highest honors. The Sports Facility of the Year award recognizes excellence in venue design, functionality and overall guest experience across both new construction projects and renovated arenas. Spectrum Center joins an elite group of nominees that includes Crypto.com Arena (Los Angeles), Lindner Family Tennis Center (Cincinnati), MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, N.J.), Petco Park (San Diego) and Progressive Field (Cleveland).
