Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available for purchase through Ticketmaster on a first come basis. 1 accessible seat and up to 3 companion seats can be purchased. When ordering accessible tickets, please indicate the type of accessible seating that you require. (wheelchair seating, ect)

Assisted Listening Devices

Assisted Listening Devices (ALD) are available free of charge at Guest Services located behind sections 102 and 208 of Spectrum Center. You will be asked to leave your state-issued photo identification as a deposit for the device.

ATMs

There are 3 ATMS located throughout the arena, sections 102, 111 & 201

Box Office

The Arena Box Office is open Monday-Friday from 11:00am-5:00pm. On event days, the Box Office is open 3 hours prior to events and 5 hours prior to Hornets games.

Regular store hours are Monday – Friday, 11:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Summer hours are Monday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Camera/Video Recording Policy

Still photography only with a camera lens of 6″ or less, no audio or video recording. (All are subject to change on an event by event basis)

Levy is the food service provider at Spectrum Center.

Child Admissions

Unless otherwise noted, children who have reached their 2nd birthday must have a ticket to enter the arena

Code of Conduct

  • Enjoy the arena experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
  • Consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner
  • Sit only in ticketed seats and show tickets when requested
  • Act in an appropriate manner without fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the court or stage area.
  • Smoke in designated smoking areas only.
  • Comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures

Concessions

Throughout the area, guest will find traditional event-goer favorites such as char-grilled hamburgers, hot dogs with regional toppings and all your fan favorites! Stop by our new locations at the Center City Grill, Fourth Ward Market Place, NODA Cantina, Trade Street Pour House and the Twisted Loop for a variety of different flavors.

Door Policy

Doors open one hour prior to all events and 60 minutes prior to all Hornets games, unless otherwise stated 

Drop Off / Pick Up

Our disabled drop off is located on the Fifth Street, just in front of the entrance.

A Public Elevator is located in the main lobby at the Trade Street entrance

Entry Inspection

All Guests entering the arena during an event are subject to screening, which may range from visual inspection and bag inspections to screenings by a metal detector or a pat-down search conducted by Arena security personnel.

Family Restrooms

Family restrooms are located at sections, 102, 111, 212 & 228.

First Aid

First Aid stations are located on the concourse at sections 111 and 222.

Guest Services

You can find Guest Services representatives at the Guest Service booths located on the Club Concourse outside of section 102 and on the Uptown Concourse outside of section 208. These calls should be routed to (704)688-8128.

Lost Children

Lost children should be taken to an Event Services representative or to the nearest Guest Services booth, which can be found on the Club Concourse outside of section 102 or on the Uptown Concourse outsides of section 208.

Lost Tickets

Lost tickets can only be replaced if requested by the account holder of record. Tickets will only be reissued to the account holder of record at the discretion of Spectrum Center management to be picked up the day of the event at Will Call. Under no circumstances will the newly reissued tickets be sent to the account holder. We also can not reprint third party tickets.

Parking and Traffic

Prohibited Items

These items include but are not limited to:

  • Large Banners and Flags: Spectators are not permitted to use or wave flags, banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material and that is more than 18 inches in length. Teams are also prohibited from providing such items to fans either by sale or giveaway
  • Whistles and Horns. Whistles, foghorns/airhorns and plastic horns, such as vuvuzelas and didgeridoos
  • Laser Pointers. Laser pointers or any similar devices
  • Optical Illusions. Items intended to create optical illusions or interfere with the ability of the eye to perceive depth or distance, such as pinwheels or umbrellas
  • Weapons (including guns and knives)
  • Aerosol cans
  • Fireworks
  • Frisbees
  • Beverages
  • Mace or Pepper Spray
  • Poles, selfie-sticks, missile-like objects that can be thrown
  • Strollers
  • Tripods
  • Umbrellas
  • Beach balls
  • Bats and clubs
  • Skateboards or Hoverboards
  • Illegal substances
  • NBA Bag Policy: NBA arenas are required to prohibit items such as bags, backpacks, and briefcases larger than approximately 16” x 16” x 8” from being brought into the arena. Patrons who are in possession of items that are larger than this bag size shall be directed to the arena’s secure storage area. All stored items must be inspected before being checked at this location and tagged to denote that they have been screened

Public Telephones

Public telephones and TTY phones are located on the Main Concourse behind Section 103 and near the Box Office. As well as behind section 206, on the Uptown Concourse.

Re-Entry Policy

Re-Entry is not permitted during any event.

Recycling

In partnership with Coca-Cola Consolidated, more than 150 receptacles for recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles have been distributed throughout the arena

Safety Tatt

Safety Tatt is a latex-free, fun and colorful temporary safety child ID tattoo. It is offered free of charge at all Spectrum Center events. Please see a Guest Services representatives at the Guest Service booths located on the Club Concourse outside of section 102 and on the Uptown Concourse outside of section 208.

Security

While we pride ourselves on creating a rewarding arena experience for our fans, our first priority is to focus on the safety of every individual visiting our venue. As such, we wanted to inform you of several recent security measures and changes the NBA has implemented for the 2015-16 season. Spectrum Center will no longer be using wands as the primary method of screening patrons entering the building, as every entrance has been updated to have a metal detector present that patrons will walk through. In addition, bags being brought into the arena will be restricted to a size of approximately 14″ x 14″ x 6″, and duffel bags and backpacks will no longer be allowed, regardless of size.

Service Animals/Guide Dogs

Only certified service animals that are trained or are in training are allowed in the facility and must have a permit. All service animals must remain on a leash or harness at all times.

Sign Interpreters

Sign language interpretation of events is available for guests who are hearing impaired. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event.

Smoking

The smoke-free policy is highly enforced and prohibits the use of smoking products such as cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, vape pens and pipes within the arena. Vape pens, electronic cigarettes, or any other related vape equipment or material is not allowed in the building. If confiscated, arena staff will not be responsible for holding any smoking products or prohibited items. FAQs here.

Large strollers may be checked-in at one of the Guest Services Booths at sections 102 or 208 .

Tours

Spectrum Center offers guided public tours based on the availability and scheduling of events in the building. Tours will not be held on days where an event is scheduled. A tour can be scheduled by calling 704-688-8128.

Wheelchair

Wheelchair escorts are available to transport guests with special needs to their seat. Escorts are available upon entering Spectrum Center. Please be aware that our staff will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event. Please see a Guest Services Representative at one of the Guest Services Booths, located at sections 102 or 208.

Will Call

Will call drop offs, online and phone orders from Ticketmaster can be picked up on the Trade Street side of the arena on event days or at the Fifth Street exterior box office on non-event days. The box office is open Monday – Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm. Summer hours are Monday – Friday, 11:00am-5:00pm. For events that fall on a Saturday or Sunday: will call tickets may be picked up 3 hours prior to the start time. For Hornets games that fall on a Saturday or Sunday: will call tickets can be picked up 5 hours prior to the game’s start time.
