Introducing An Elevated Hospitality Experience At Spectrum Center

Final Phase Of Renovations Delivers Modern And Welcoming Carolina Hospitality Across Every Area of the Arena – From A Wider Variety Of Cuisines And Local Favorites To Increased Speed And Convenience

October 13, 2025 – In celebration of Spectrum Center’s upcoming 20th anniversary and as part of the multi-year Spectrum Center transformation, Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) and hospitality partner, Levy, unveiled today an elevated food and beverage experience curated around the charm of Charlotte and the Carolinas. At the center of this experience are the Lunazul North District and The South District, two new areas within the Belk Concourse that will create dynamic gathering places pairing elevated signature offerings and rotating menus with craft cocktails and local brews. Dining locations across all levels will also feature wider variety, while new grab-and-go locations will increase speed and convenience.

”When it came to elevating the food and beverage experience at Spectrum Center, our diverse customer fan-base was top of mind,” said HSE President of Business Operations Shelly Cayette-Weston. “Working with our concessionaire partners, Levy, we’ve curated a unique, yet fan-friendly menu that has something for everyone who walks through our doors. Our goal is to create unforgettable moments and memories for our guests, and that includes the hospitality experience.”

“We’ve totally revamped the hospitality experience from top-to-bottom in a way that beautifully captures the charm and character of the Carolinas,” said Levy CEO Andy Lansing. “The new food and beverage menus perfectly accentuate each of the uniquely renovated spaces within the arena and highlight the surrounding Charlotte-area community, so every fan feels welcomed, and every visit is special.”

Vibrant Food and Beverage Markets at The Districts

The Lunazul North District and The South District – situated on both sides of the Belk Concourse – create two distinct gathering places, each with its own unique energy, elevated food offerings, chef-attended action stations, and full-service 360-degree wraparound bars. The Lunazul North District, embracing a contemporary and modern atmosphere, will serve up porchetta sandwiches, falafel bowls, bulgogi rice bowls, and stuffed churros, among other offerings. The South District, sporting darker wood tones and a cozy, southern hospitality theme, boasts house-smoked BBQ, signature ‘Carolina Quesadillas’ – a waffle concept with hot chicken and macaroni – specialty pretzels, pan pizza, and more. Both markets feature self-service technology for faster, more convenient checkout.

Expanded Variety Across the Concourses

In the constant pursuit of bringing the best of Charlotte and the Carolinas under one roof, the Hornets and Levy have flipped nearly 50% of Spectrum Center’s concessions menus since last season. The shift spotlights a broader range of cuisines that includes more light and fresh fare, unique twists on fan-favorites, and more local eateries. Wrap & Roast near section 103 brings fresh hummus, grilled pita and lamb gyros to the Belk Concourse. An entirely new concept, 704 Kitchen near the new Baseline Bar outside section 108, rotates in new local restaurants each month, while fans can enjoy delectable, sweet treats from local bakeries and cafés such as Amelie’s French Bakery, Bruster’s Ice Cream and Knowledge Perk Coffee at a new specialty dessert stand near section 109. A Greek-inspired salad will be a healthy, vegan options available from grab-and-gos.

The Uptown Concourse will see expanded, diverse offerings as well, including a Chick-fil-A portable cart location near the revamped Dr Pepper Pavilion, two Brixx Pizza locations near sections 204 and 218, and Buzz City Kernels near section 210. My Story Café outside section 233 will serve specialty coffees, smoothies and milk teas, while Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will serve their premium steakburgers and creamy custard treats. Greensboro-based Gnam Gnam Gelato will also be available.

New Grab-and-Go Markets Increase Speed and Convenience

Throughout the arena, nearly 40% of food and beverage locations are now equipped with frictionless technology to increase speed of service. That includes four new checkout-free markets (sections 102, 116, 208 and 226), where fans can walk in, grab their food and drinks, and walk out without waiting in line. Eight new self-service grab-and-go markets (sections 103, 105, 110, 113, 114, 115, 216 and 218) also offer on-the-go fan favorites, snacks and drinks.
