Two of the nation’s premier women’s college basketball programs – the
USC Trojans and the NC State Wolfpack – are set to headline the 2025 Ally Tipoff in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
Returning to the Spectrum Center on November 9, the Ally Tipoff celebrates the strength, talent
and impact of women’s sports on a national stage. Last year’s event drew 15,424 fans and a
national broadcast audience for a doubleheader that featured NC State, USC, Iowa and Virginia
Tech.
“As the popularity of women’s basketball continues to soar, the Ally Tipoff represents our
commitment to elevating the game and giving these incredible athletes the spotlight they
deserve,” said Will Pitts, CEO of Charlotte Sports Foundation. “Charlotte is ready to welcome
USC and NC State for what’s sure to be another unforgettable matchup.”
From its inception, the Ally Tipoff has established itself as a marquee event in women’s college
basketball, setting attendance records for regular season games in the state of North Carolina in
each of its first two years. With entitlement support from Ally Financial, home to the nation’s
largest all-digital bank and a leading brand in women’s sports sponsorship, the event has
quickly become a fan favorite in the Queen City and important addition to Charlotte’s portfolio of
premier sports and entertainment offerings.
